Children’s Council

Barefeet Children’s Council (BCC): From each of Barefeet’s 40 community partner centres in Lusaka, Livingstone and chipata, one young person has been elected by their peers to represent them at the weekly Children’s Council meetings. These enthusiastic, passionate and articulate young activists represent over 2,000 young people and act as the main advocacy wing of Barefeet. The Children’s Council advocates for issues that are pertinent to them, their peers and their communities using various creative disciplines.
