Arts Festival

Our annual Barefeet Youth Arts Festival takes place in August and has grown in recent years to become one of the largest and most recognisable arts festivals in Zambia. It reaches over 33,000 community members in 5 provinces (Lusaka, Kabwe, Kitwe, Kaoma and Livingstone). Each event showcases the work of talented artists across a wide range of disciplines while involving and engaging the children we work within the arts. This is the children’s platform to have their voices heard and share ideas with their peers, the Zambian public and key public figures in government. The Festival is one of the highlights of the Barefeet year, giving children a chance to learn from and share the stage with world-renowned talent.
